GM replaced the unit out of warranty for a minimal fee." Had to replace entire CUE module AND the dash control panel as well." Cadillac dealer said it was battery problem and replaced the battery, but that has not resolved the problem" "vehicle shuts down electronic systems, if it is not running it cannot be started if it is being driven all screens and accessories go blank. My dealership installed a new system for me." "The touch screen stopped working therefore I could not use radio functions or Climate control functions on the touchscreen. Replaced complete display screen under extended warranty" Should have had a recall based on the number of people on line that has had this problem." "the radio and screen quit (upper tower) Cadillac replace it free out of warranty" After 4 trips and several cases where vehicle did not start they finally figured it out and fixed it. Happened multiple times requiring many trips to Cadillac dealership. "All display items disappeared including AC controls, gauges etc. "While in reverse, the cue screen would freeze over top of the back up camera screen" Had to replace the entire CUE unit at a cost of $1200." Touch screen did not work and only a very few changes could be made from the steering wheel and dash. "CUE screen freezes, becomes non-responsive, and unable to control more than 90% of the functions as there is no alternate method of controlling these features, except via the CUE touch-screen." "needed a new computer to resolve the problem" We had to bite the bullet and replace - very costly" The other froze 13 months later and was not covered. (Try living in Florida and not have the ability to switch from heat to air in the summer!). "We have had continuous problems with the CUE. We bought the Cadillac thinking we would have a vehicle that would last us a long time. It will cost over $1,000 to fix and we do not have the spare money. Also, I am unable to choose where to have my heat/ac come from. I am able to change the radio from the steering wheel but not the display. "The CUE display froze on me the came back on but I still am unable to use all the features. "The Que screen cracked and it does not react to touch. Don't know why the display screen had problems." "Problem occurred once while under warranty but then occurred again. It is a known problem across different Cadillacs, but expensive to fix at the dealership." "Onboard computer control touch screen has been inop for over three years" This unit is not improved, but simply fixed. Instead of fixing it, Cadillac forces you to be a re manufactured unit. "The CUE entertainment system is a bad design. "CD is stuck in CD player & won't eject." The recall is expected to begin in January, 2012."Disc is caught up in the system and won't eject." The Detroit-based carmaker said that its dealers will inspect the transmission shift cable to make sure it's properly routed and seated in the transmission cable bracket on the affected model. GM said that an initial internal investigation resulted in three potentially related warranty claims dating back to November 15, 2010, while the company later found another nine claims for shift cable repair that may be related to the same condition. The company immediately inspected all vehicles at its plant and found 11 out of 710 SRX models with improperly assembled transmission shift cables that may come out of the transmission bracket in time. General Motors said that it became aware of the problem when it received a customer letter on June 22, 2011, alleging unintended vehicle motion in a 2011 SRX as the customer attempted to shift between Park and Drive and then back to Park. The affected 20 model year Cadillac SRX vehicles were built from October 26, 2008, through June 23, 2011. An improperly installed transmission shift cable is the cause for GM's latest recall action that affects 15,817 Cadillac SRX crossovers worldwide, of which 8,789 units were sold in the United States.
